BrewMasters handy Kitchen Guide is something that our whole family loves. Our family enjoys making things from scratch, using the food from our garden. It has become our way of living. Making the cider at home is an awesome family time. The bonus is; we know what is going in to make the cider and now have one less unhealthy, long shelf life, store baught product to put on our grocery list. I reccomend this goes on your must have book list for sure!!!
I know cider is popular in the UK but I had no idea about the long history of cider. Very Interesting book, I enjoyed learning the history and background of cider as well as how to make it myself. Trevor's instructions and guides are so easy to understand, I think I will try to make a batch soon. In fact I'm heading to the store to buy apples now.
I should have known that at this price, it would not be well done.
I could have just cut and pasted all this info from the Internet. No real insight, here. A waste of money, really.
This "book" is basically just a pamphlet. The information it holds isn't groundbreaking or exciting. You're better off with a book on brewing beer with a section on cider. Any website on cider holds considerably more information than this pamphlet. Save your money.
Just about the least helpful and least thorough guide to making cider I've ever seen. Seriously how did this become a book? It's a pamphlet at best and not worth the price.
I purchased this guide for my husband, who is an avid beer brewer and wine maker. He has been interested in expanding into cider making and has been trying to find a guide just like this. The book was helpful in understanding what new equipment he will need and the exact process of fermenting. The author shows a great deal of knowledge in the variety of apples and which produce the right taste for apple and peach ciders. He can't wait to try out this new hobby.

Wow! If you are a history buff, you will enjoy learning some of how cider came to exist. However, for me, I was curious about the process. It turns out that homemade cider is really quite easy to make. While I'm not interested in making this a business for myself, Trevor Hill realizes that some may want to and has even included some of the general laws concerning the production of this drink.
